Latin Name: Althaea officinalis syn. Althaea sublobata, Althaea taurinensis, Althaea vulgaris, Malva officinalis.
Plant Family: Malvaceae

Other Names: English Mallow, Meshmellish, Cheeses, Mortification Root, Althea Root, Wymote Altea, Alteia, Althée, Guimauve, Guimauve Officinale, Gulkhairo, Herba Malvae, Malvavisco, Mortification Root, Racine de Guimauve, Wymote and Sweet Weed.

Description: Our heat-treated Marshmallow Root Powder is mildly sweet with an earthy flavour! The goods sold on our website are for lawful use only. Powdered Marshmallow Root is perfect for binding together ingredients to make confectionary; it even makes a fantastic glue-like paste.

Shelf life of two years provided that goods are stored in an airtight container in ambient conditions.

This powder mixes well as it is quite fine and doesn't taste too bad either. I use a little with honey in cooled boiled water and drink it as it is good for digestion. I have mixed some in a paste and put in my daughter's hair as the ends are dry and roots greasy and marshmallow is good for both as it is so versatile.
